Welcome to my Web site.
My name is Susan and I live in Edinburgh, Scotland
I decided to establish this webpage simply to share some of my favourite photos from my albums. I have also now joined Facebook and plan to upload photos there too. I have been very lax in updating this site but hope to do better in future. Well, one can always hope!
I love taking photos but am not technically literate insofar as discussing F stops and all that. I travel around with amateur photographer friends who are slowly teaching me how to get better results as we visit various gardens, parks, reserves and wildlife sites. My main mentor is Walter who has his own one.com site.
I have a wide range of interests in addition to photography including wildlife / bird watching, hillwalking, travel and amateur drama. I have grandchildren who live quite a distance away and friends in different parts of the country so I travel a lot on visits to them. I enjoy driving but recently have been using public transport more often, thanks to my Scottish Executive pass (also known as OAP bus pass). I am involved quite heavily in drama and travel widely going to support plays produced by clubs belonging to the Scottish Community Drama Association, as well as to various rounds of a competitive one-act festival which the SCDA organises annually and to professional productions around the country.

Thespian Activities.
I am an actor with The Mercators and with Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group (aka Grads). I also do various behind the scenes jobs for Grads, including costuming.
I am Edinburgh District Secretary of the Scottish Community Drama Association which is an umbrella group supporting and advising drama clubs in Scotland.
I run mailing lists to help SCDA clubs publicise their productions, appeal for props, costume, set furniture etc., as well as to to notify a broader base of actors about casting opportunities. If you are interested in being added to my lists email me at drama@susanwales.co.uk. I always use the bcc facility for group mailings to protect e-addresses.
